My mechanic quoted me 4300, which is pretty insane considering the parts themselves total are about 4k. Are these good parts, and what do people think about the APR stuff?
First of all congrats and welcome. Now on the some flaming, sorry! Don't go and put straight pipes on your car without cats. If you want to do dp's that's a different story. The APR catback is good but you should listen to all the exhausts first before you dive in. If you don't, you're gonna end up hearing a system that sounds better than yours and you'll get the bug to switch it out. That's money down the drain. Slow down and do one or two mods at a time. Experience the difference then move on to another mod. If you do everything at once, you'll be in my shoes and get bored of the car and then go into debt getting another car to mod. Just like me!
Next, don't bother with an intake unless you want a little bit of power loss. It's already been proven that the stock intake is the bast for our cars.
As far as the chip, APR, GIAC and REVO all work well. Again, not much power for the money. Wait till you get an exhaust on, then chip it if you must.
Don't do the springs, save for a nice set of coilovers and don't get the Bilsteins as they bounce a little and need some good corner balancing to get rid of the caddy freeway bounce.
That being said, sorry if I came off a little harsh, it's just that all you new guys are coming on here and jumping the gun a little bit. Slow down, get to know your car in its stock form and mod slowly. You're gonna want an RS4 someday and you could be saving towards one right now.
Once again, Congratulations and Welcome to Audizine
