When I bought my car, I guess the previous owner had lost the remotes... So my shady dealer gave me this key FOB and told me to take it to Audi and have them program it and cut a new blade for me. Well, I was told by my dealer that they cannot program this type of key for the B7 model because it is an older key. Anyways, I put a new battery in it and a new blade that was bought off ebay, so all you have to do is get it cut and programmed. I believe I paid about $140 for the new remote that works with my car so this will save you some money.
