    Off-the-shelf reflashes for B7 RS4

Guys, I've searched but have not been able to get much feedback on reflashes for the B7 RS4 from the following vendors:

    Unitronic
    Revo
    Superchips

Are any of you guys running such a reflash, and what are your impressions after reflashing your ECU?

Everyone has Revo. I also have Revo in my MKV GTI and i love it. If I was going to do ECU upgrade, I would stay with one of the more popular makers. GIAC, APR and Revo.

Superchips claims a lot of horseppower but when you call them up and speak with them they'll tell you that it is minimal.

okay, there's a Revo dealer coming to my area, so I'll have a chat with him to find out if I can get a 5-hour trial.

When you say you love it, how has it changed the power delivery characteristics of the RS4's V8?

The RS4 hasn't been chipped and it's not going to get chipped ever. I REVO chipped the MKV GTI, which is a 2.0 turbo, and it flies. So what i am saying is that the REVO software works really well on the turbo. I am only running 6lbs of boost and can take it up to 9lbs. Since it's the wifey's daily, it's staying at 6lbs.

If you don't have an exhaust, don't ship the car. You'll lose power.

Okay, that was the sort of feedback I was looking for. No plans to get an exhaust, although the Euro steering wheel and seats have been beckoning.

Also, as my car was an 06 and did not have the RNS-E naviplus unit (it's a concert-something with a 6-disc changer), and I've been trying to get info off navplus.us on getting it converted (no maps for the Middle East though, and I really don't need them since I have a Garmin anyway) so that I can get it hooked up with BT and my iPod

Mate of mine just picked up his 08 TT MkII and it comes with a 6-disc MP3 changer, 6-disc CD changer, Bluetooth support AND an iPod dock.

On the other hand, I do have a nicer soundtrack off the engine and exhaust that I can indulge in :D

but oh, to have integrated BT, iPod support and all that....

Except for the small problem of me being in Dubai, UAE and not in the UK...

Anyhow, good, more money that I can put into getting a Dension GW100+BT+CD Changer Retention module, sway bars, and steel braided brake lines :)
