ko4 question

Is the exhaust part of a ko4 the same as the ko3? I know the wastegate actuators are the same but are the exhaust parts that bolt to the mani and the cat the same. Cause my wastegate is making noise and I think my flap in the ko4 is breaking off. Can I just swap the exhaust part of a ko3 to the ko4 to solve that issue? How difficult would the swap be? Thanks!

it should be, only the compressor side is different iirc.

Ok. Cause I'd much rather buy a used ko3, swap out the exhaust housing and have a functioning ko4 than spend another 800 for a ko4. Not to mention the ko4 is on backorder everywhere. Will that 1mm make a difference?
