Any insight about how you are getting your rear end to break loose? My car seems to stay hooked up no matter how hard I try to turn... Are you turning out and then turning in hard to shift the weight or are you dumping the clutch to break traction? When I'm trying to corner hard I usually turn in with minimal gas and then once I hit the apex I'll start to pin it... I pretty much always keep traction or get just a tad bit of understeer. I havent taken any drift or racing lessons so I'm not real familiar with any techniques except for reading a little bit about drifting and hitting apexes. On second thought, maybe its a bad idea to learn how to break loose because I'm sure I'd go through tires a lot faster...

P.S. I don't try to drive around breaking loose all the time... I try not to be a reckless driver and won't use any information provided to drift every turn I make. Although it might be tempting

I understand dialing out understeer but buying an AWD and then inducing oversteer???

I have the RS4 sway and it does help dial out understreer but I wouldn't call my car neutral. It probably takes a 24mm rear sway to dial it out completely.

You cant get the tail to come out?!? I have a lovely left hand turn coming in to my neighborhood that has eaten at least half of the tread on my tires, lol. Drive at around 50mph - 3rd Gear, As you are coming in to the turn brake briefly till you hit around low 40's (by now you should be starting your turn - remember, quick out then hard in) as soon as your car is about half way through your turn, floor that bitch and hear her scream.
You can get some good driving techniques out of the book "Speed Secrets" by Ross Bentley.

i can break loose my rears when i turn

All I have is APR 93 stage 2 (intake and test pipe) and I can break my tires loose on any corner I want to. Sure I'm on oem tires and they're at about 50% tread, but I always could.

We have this one sharp, winding turn that is a 30-40mph road, and I always start out real slow then go into a drift around it if there are no cars. I actually did this a few days ago and almost went completely sideways, so I had to do a panic counter steer and slow way down to not spin out. Quattro is great and it was very easy to correct. I have no idea why my tires have only 50% tread left

I've gotten the tail out too, it is deff not impossible. If i peal out on to almost any road and floor it while im turning i will get the rear end out for a bit. Im stock so it should be even easier with software and the sway.
