roof shot black and b6 led headlights?

so i'm debating having the roof and door blades shot black.
any pics out there? PLEASE post!

also, anyone seen or heard anything about LED headlights for the b6??

Leave the door blades body color. they won't look good in black. The roof on the other hand shouldn't look bad in black. what color is the car?

Blades would look really bad. It would look worse than when people do it on VW's.
Black roof could look OK in BMP. Post some photos of your car and we can photoshop it so you can at least get an idea how it's going to look.

I thought about doing the roof in black for a while but Im not so sure it would look nice on my car since im going for the "clean" look.

X2. Early euro models came with the black door blades, looks like shit.

my roof is black, im very happy with it. in person it looks great, pics dont do it justice. im planning on powder coating the chrome window trim, grills, mirrors and wheels so there is no more chrome/aluminum. right now there is just too many colors going on.....



edit:I hated the greyish color on the rear valence, so I had that painted matte black..

No tint and black roof on your car would be sick! Assuming it's the car in your avatar. If it had red interior I would wet myself right now

I forget what I paid, but it wasnt bad at all. The guy did a great job too. PM me if you want his info (he is not too far from you).... as for the powder coating, I havent priced it out yet, I know it isnt "cheap," might do it this year, looking like a winter project right now.

because fiberglass sucks, its got a few cracks and that was before i resprayed the lower grill (its amazing how much better the car looks with that lower grill actually black and not worn to all hell)

you're car turned out nice, i personally painted my rear valance silver to match the car, but the matt black is nice too. I agree, if you black all of the chrome trim like i did (i switched to a4 mirrors and surround before painted since chrome doesnt hold paint well) your car would be perfect.

it looks "fat" for some reason. like it was installed wrong our something :P other than that it looks good. im putting an oetty on mine, but i think i'm going w/o the mesh..it looks odd with the OEM grill slats

Thanks for all y'alls input. I appreciate the post of the silver one as well, beings mine is silver too. In the future I was planning on doing gloss black wheels, which [i would hope] would complement the gloss black roof, door blades, and gloss black rear valence. my end-state with the car is to make it look mean and aggressive as f*ck.

ngng, i agree on the comment made about the front. it might look a bit better to have the rieger sides to go with the front? if that's something you want to go for, i have a set of rieger sides that are brand new sitting at the house. i like the roof tho!

itzdarrells4, nice car man. i know what you mean as far as pics not doing your car justice. it sucks. haha. your car is the hotness tho! i had the idea with the rear a while ago. along with the grey in the grille, it looks tacky.

What kind of paint did you use for your tow hook? Is it chipping at all?

Rustoleum Paint. sanded it down to the metal, primed it, and 3 coats of the paint, 2 coats of clear. No chips at all, works great.

Its Dolphin grey right now, gonna paint the stock Avus wheels, door blades, all trim, rear valence, exhaust, emblems, chrome trunk strip, and add the all black rs4 grille and fog grilles. mI personally think the door blades would look nice on some of the darker color S4s. Ive seen it once on another dolphin A4 sline and it looked great. what you guys think?

I like the black roof, i think it will look good. No on the blades. The LEDs from the A5/S5/R8 look sick on the B7 (someone on here has a great install). Not sure how they would look on the B6. I wanted to do it myself, but it seems like a big job and id rather get coil overs and wheels first.
