    A4 vs. S4 OEM brake pads: same compound?

    As stated: I know the A4 & S4 share the same front calipers, but do they use the same pad compound?

    There dosen't seem to be any performance pads made for our cars. AFAIK, just ECS who adds in-house made retaining clips to the pads they sell. One person I know ordered them and some clips had broken off just from the shipping... not my idea of a solid, safe brake setup .

    I'm thinking of upgrading my fronts to the S4 setup, just wondering if putting on S4 pads will further improve bite.

    Any help/suggestions are welcome.
