WTF? I'm dumbfounded...

Okay so I installed my DV last Friday and since I've been getting this strange noise. It sounds like when you blow into an empty bottle... that deep, hollow sound. Strange thing is that its not consistant. It comes out very random, if I'm accelerating, uphill, turning, going below 30, going 60, even if I'm coasting at 10mph it'll randomly appear. Also I've noticed it can be coming from the engine bay, below my floor (tranny area) or it can sound like its coming out of the exhaust. No idea what the heck it could be since all my hoses are tight and last time I check I'm boosting normal. No loss in power or any other symptom. No CEL. Just an annoying sound. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. Thanks!

do you have a boost gauge? Is it doing it at certain psi? are you positive you installed it the correct way? and finally, is the spring rate correct for the amount of boost your producing?

also...do you have a belly pan? if you removed it to do your DV it may not be back in place correctly causing air to hum as it goes past it...

Nah it will do it at any amount of boost. Its a 710n DV so I don't think its adjustable. I'm pretty damn sure I put it in the right way. And there was no belly pan to start with. Its always been off. But that's what it seems like that to me, as if air is getting in somewhere on the bottom of my car, holed up somewhere. Thanks for the suggestions tho

hmm, double check to see if you did in fact install it correctly, as I have seen it put in backwards/upside-down in the past. Besides that, I can't think of anything else, especially since it just started upon DV installation...
