I need to know hot my exhaust manifold gets. The car is not running so I can't test it myself, and I need to protect a rubber hose, FWIW Im running a tubular manifold off of a 2.0L feeding a BAT.

    TIA

A quick answer would be much appreciated, I searched but found nothing

This is just one of the variety of heat shielding products these guys carry.

Protect rubber hoses from radiant heat damage, increasing their life. Use to insulate air intake tubes from radiant heat lowering your intake temperatures and increasing horsepower. Special coating allows this sleeving to reflect and dissipate heat. The special braid of sleeving allows it to have an expandable inside diameter from 1 3/4" to 2 3/8". Thermal Hose Sleeving is capable of withstanding 1200°F continuous. It may be fastened using Thermal-Tie or hose clamp.

How about using Header Wrap on the tubular manifold. I had it on my headers on my old car and was able to touch them while HOT and did not get burned.

honestly, Im getting lazy at this point and this seems to be the easier route, Im not sure if its better to keep that heat away from the rest of the engine bay, or let it disipate so the pipes dont get too hot...I may end up doing that at some point though
