Driveway Lights??

On my A4 the fog lights turn on when its dark and I click UNLOCK on the remote (I dunno if this is just a 3.0 feature) My question is how do I adjust the length of time they are on... The dealer has it on for the longest time (i dunno that time... All I know is that it is a LONG LONG time) I want to bring it down to about 30 sec. but dunno how.. Is this a VAG_COM thing or dealer only thing??

there is a switch right next to ur headlamp switch that has a small knob, u'll see there how to adjust the time!

I believe that's the "coming home" feature.

how do I adjust the "coming home" length..? Its not the knob next to the headlights (sorry kirk) all that one does it turn on/off the coming home feature.. It doesn't adjust the length.

^^i think u might need to either check the manual, or using vag com change the length!

push in the button. then the button comes out, almost like a bass/treble button on older stereos. that sets the time.

no no no no! lol sorry that little switch just turns the feature on and off. I'm pretty sure you have to take it to someone who has VAGCOM and then changing it in comfort and convenience settings. Why is it a problem to have it on longer then you want? They still turn off. I wish my 2003 had this feature, our other Audis have it and it's really nice.

The time isn't adustable. Lights stay on for like 20 seconds, and yes it's the coming home feature!

Only 2004 and newer cars have the feature and you only got it if you got the lighting package with the auto lights.

That's why I don't have that. But I do have that weird feature that when no keys are in and I flip the turn signal, it will turn lights on that side. Talk about weird.

Those are the european parking lights that are used in europe. It seems like random A4's got that functionality. Most of them even have the little symbol on the stalk but don't do it. They aren't used for anything in America though.

I have ecodes, maybe that's why it works.
Also, what's the point of them? Will they stay lit till i turn them off?

I'm not positive on this, maybe someone from europe will chime in but I think the idea is that you flip it down when you just want to leave the car for a second or if you're waiting for someone. So like if you were picking someone up and parked on the left side of the road then you would push the stalk down to turn on that sides parking lights so people behind you would know there is a car there and parked. That's my theory, when I was in Japan I saw people using them, if they were just running in real quick they would turn one side on and hop out of the car even though they weren't in a parking space.

I believe they will stay lit until you push the stalk to the middle.

Oh tom3k I have that thing too! HATE IT!! almost killed my battery thanks to it.. I was at work and I was like whoa my corner lights are really bright even without sun (it was an overcast day) and from 8-12 I watched my car from my desk and was like really amazed til I got into my car and the thing barely turned over and I was like oh fu*k tht was a close call!

Hate to go against your word but yes it is adjustable.. One of my remotes keeps the lights on for 30sec and the other one I have timed to 2:30sec.
