    JHM SS is really notchy?

SO I put my new JHM SS in over the weekend. I like the solid feel of it, but before with the stock, it was only notchy in 1 to 2nd. Now with the SS, its notchy in every gear. Ive sat in my car for like 2 hours straight just toying with the shift linkage trying to find a sweet spot, but to no avail.

So basically, it clicks TWICE into every gear. Like its hitting the in-between, between gears. Its pretty annoying. It feels like a big, tightly wound, heavy metal shifter clunking into every gear.
    Any suggestions?

sounds like you have something out of whack.

You lost reverse the other day when you installed it too, right?
Something is wrong something is adjusted wrong or bent. I would go over everything very carefully.

Worse case scenario you can put the original stuff back in to confirm you have a problem.

My money either you have a part that isn't correct (not manufactured to spec) or you have a simple installation error that is being missed, we've all done it before.

The detents in the tranny that lock the shifter into gear are usually magnified when going with a short throw shifter.
