Questions about checking SAC zero position

I have a Vast RS4 clutch with upgraded organic disk that im hoping to put in this weekend. Ive read that the SAC mechanism has caused problems on a few stock and RS4 based clutches. I want to try and avoid having to do this again in the hear future, so how do i go about checking the SAC for zero position(as vast recommends on their site)? Is there a write-up or DIY on this procedure? I searched on here and got basically nothing, and i tried audiworld but i got tired of searching after page 17 lol. Maybe i just suck with the search feature or something.

    Any help would be appreciated.

BTW-While im here i might as well ask...what are the tq specs for the fw/crank and clutch/fw bolts? Also, since theyre TTY, have you been torqueing them in steps or going straight to the final tq? Thanks in advance.

Re: Questions about checking SAC zero position

When set correctly, the SAC mechanism should look like this (note the fully compressed spring and the little metal tabs visible in the slots):
    Here's a writeup for you:
    SAC setting writeup

Here are your torque specs: FW to crank - 60 Nm, then another 180 °
    PP to FW - 22nm
Torque all bolts in a star pattern and do so in several stages (tighten each bolt numerous times until you reach the torque spec).

Re: Questions about checking SAC zero position

Thanks Jordan. I just read the writeup and went and checked my PP, and it was out of adjustment...which isnt a suprise considering the way everything else has gone with this car lol. I guess ill be taking it to a friends shop to use their press to adjust it. Im glad i caught it before i put it in though...you just saved me alot of cussing and free time lol. Thanks again man.
