There is a leak from my fuel supply line leading into the fuel filter. Its leaking where the line connects to the banjo fitting. Is there any easy way out. I'm guessing I'm going to have to drop the tank and replace the line. Thanks

Mine leaked in that same place right after I changed the fuel filter as well. I got a mechanic to drop the tank and change the whole line; was only ~$100 I think.

Are you fwd or quattro.? I went to a mechanic today, they quoted me 3000. They said they had to drop the tank and the rear end, which I understand. but 3000 is a little crazy for me.

get some 3/8 inch rubber fuel hose from advance etc and cut your line (slide it over and clamp it. The line is plastic garbage and cracks from age, elements, etc. you probably bent it to far. Not a big deal, no need to replace entire line. Or wrap the existing line twice with hose seems opposite each other and clamp.

    Re: Fuel Line Leak

I'm quattro, $3000 is insane. There's a port hole under the trunk liner which you can feed the line up to to tighten it up. I don't know if you could feed the line easily this way, but I'm pretty sure it's just the tank and not the whole rear subframe you have to drop. Good luck with the repair .
