Dyno with the Black Mags (AMG + Avant + Noob)

I've had my avant for about a month and a half, and have been piecing things together.

Its all together now, just not on the car. I am waiting for 2 tires and some time to slap it all together.

A formal photo shoot will come once its all done.

The car.
Early 99 avant, 2 owner, dealer serviced it's whole life. Basically stole the car.


Then ordered these...
Avant specific coilovers.


A rs4 grill somewhere in between...

and picked up these...
Staggered 17x7.5/8.5 monoblocks


They went to the wheel shop to get the lips cleaned up and refinished...
Then to the powder coater (satin black)

At the shop (cell pic)


Then at home

car has 137k, 2 owner same dealer service its whole life. everything has been fixed or replaced. 2nd owner put 110k+ on the car. it runs like a bear. Bose w/cd changer trunk mat, cargo cover, heated seats.

its a manual, and all avants in the us are quattro.


i want to put one piece lights in, but i refuse to cut my fenders. so we will see. but i do need hid, my blind self cant see a thing.

The girlfriend doesn't know about them.
The suspension must be on for the wheels to go on.
I'm going to do it all in one shot, it will be less painful on the ears when she screams at me

the avant.

i own the m3 outright, but hardly drive it. its a 98 that just broke 71k. so basically i pay insurance (a lot) and it sits most of the time, and not in a garage.

so im just going to sell it and bank the money for a rainy day.

the avant is awesome (even more than I expected), and practical and if something happens I wont cry as much.

well i havent tried to fit them yet

the lug pattern is the same, but the holes were only 12 vs 14mm, so when they were getting cleaned up, I had the guy at the wheel shop drill them out.

and I have the correct hub rings.

hopefully saturday. tires arrive friday

Looks pretty good (normally I don't like benz wheels), if I were you though I would have just bought some 5x120 to 5x112 adapters and swapped over the CCW's would have been a much better/unique look, also would have had less to explain to the woman.

i thought about that at one point. but the ccw's were a nightmare to keep clean and such a headache being polished.

these are simple and powder-coated and I have loved monoblocks for ages.
