    Post B6 Rotor/Pad upgrade

Hey all. I have a 2004 A4 3.0 and will be upgrading my wheels in the near future. With that said, I'd like to upgrade my rotor's and pads so I don't look so 'tiny' lol. I will be keeping my stock wheels (17x7.5) 5 spoke running on the usual 235/45/17 for winter since it can get ugly here in the north east. I would like this to be a one time deal so I don't have to swap out the rotors and pads everytime the winter comes, so how large can I go without running into clearance problems with the 17's? Any input or advice would be nice, thanks!

To do larger rotors you would need different caliper carriers, not sure if that is a fesible option, or BBK... I went with Adam's rotors from the group buy section, slotted and dimpled and some Hawk ceramic pads, since I don't need BBK yet..

Yeah, that's what I was looking into myself.. I'd love to do a B7 brake upgrade but am unsure if it will fit on my B6 with the stock 17's. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I know you can do the B5 S4 fronts and I'm pretty sure they will fit behind your stockers...I'll look around and see if I can find a sure answer for you..

What did you end up getting from Adam size-wise, are you running Hawk pads? Brakes are pretty much foreign to me, so I'm just learning through all the forum reading..

    Re: B6 Rotor/Pad upgrade

I went for stock size since I'm not upgrading my brakes yet, I bought Hawk performance ceramic pads but there are also the HPS pads too that people seem to like. I would give you a review but I still need to install them.. Good luck on find what you like or need

    Re: B6 Rotor/Pad upgrade

    forget ceramic pads.
Few months ago I switched to ATE PremuimOne 312mm rotors and Porterfield R4S.
Brakes are great. Even with these rotors there is less dust than OE setup.
