    Tire opinions?

I am looking to replace my current set of Bridgestone Potenzas (235/40/R18). The tires will be used for occasional track and auto-x events, but I would like something with decent treadwear and good for daily use.

I was recommended one of these three tires:

    - Continental ContisportContact3
    - Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
    - Pirelli Pzero

From what I can see the Michelins will wear a bit faster, and the Pirellis are about 3lbs heavier per tire.

Does anyone have any opinions on these three choices?

Ps2's are probably good for occasional track use. If you get into more of it, try out the bang for the buck all summer tire Falken Azenis RT615, Dunlop Direzza Z1.

Thanks! Doing some more searching it seems like the PS2s get some pretty good reviews, I might end up going with those.

PS 2 is great in dry, but a little weaker than the others in wet traction........

    Re: Tire opinions?

Doc is right. Drove new M3 with PS2 (17s) and dry handling of spec tire is outstading.
Drove cars with Conti Contact3 and wet/dry is great too (this is what I am odering in two weeks).
Spoke with few pro drivers and they told me the same Doc said.
