Red USP A4 Avant 1.8T 6spd

i cant believe it, i missed another one .. i have even been emailing them (along with 45 other dealers) every 2 wks and checking 5 websites daily for 3 months!!..

fortunately for my sanity they said they have a waiting list for USP avants and this one was never publicly offered for sale.. but it still sucks..

unfortunately this other guy was ahead of me, though i dont think my emails (though their preferred method of communication) ever got me on the official list.. i called today and am now on the official list.. of course they will probably want a ridiculous amount for the car..

he also said he has bought and sold several of them himself and thinks there is more than ~6.. who knows..

oh well.. just sharing my sad story..

if any one sees one, please let me know.. or tell the owner to contact me..

come on, how can you say Sedans are cooler? Sedans say "I am just like every other Joe Shmo" Avants are gaining a cult following. I am keeping mine as a third car just b/c. My kids even dislike my wifes Q7 S-sline with DVD player. They would rather drive and listen to the avant! I will make sure I sell my Avant on this board.
Real question, what turbo should I upgrade to?

thanks for the words of encouragement.. it burns me a bit that i had emailed that place for last few months, but i guess the other guy may have been waiting even longer.. checking 5 sites daily and emailing 45 dealers every 2 wks gets old, but the second i stop i'll miss one..

sleeperwagon, yours is really tempting.. the right price with the right mods.. it looks like i am moving back to PA in fall, if i havent found a red one and you still have your black one, we may have to talk..

why not get a brilliant red S4 Avant... You'll only pay a couple thousand more at this point.

i've seen quite few S4s for sale lately.. even the USP is pushing my budget.. S4s, though some great deals out there, are still out of my price range.. besides the increased insurance and gas costs..

and even if gas wasnt $4.50+, i am a moderate tree-hugger and enjoy the performance yet relative economy a chipped 4-banger turbo!!..

great idea though..
