    Re: Revo, Stasis, or Unitronic???

revo has an exhaust? never knew stasis had an chip...

before you get flamed, answers are all biased IMHO...I love revo and recommend it to everyone because you can adjust your own settings as you please...

Go to whatever tuner is near you, thats mostly what people will tell you. i got revo done, because my tuner was bad ass and had great customer service!!!

    Re: Revo, Stasis, or Unitronic???

No it's not. Call your dealership and ask. It's completely different software. Way less aggressive than GIAC. It was developed by STaSIS and Mahle. If you think your car is tuned with GIAC you are sorely mistaken. The $1500 covers your software as well as a 4 year/50,000 mile engine warranty/.

STaSIS recommends GIAC if you do not use their own proprietary software.

All I know is that my stasis package ECU is developed by GIAC and Mahle, thats what the brochure says as well as their site

    Re: Revo, Stasis, or Unitronic???

That may be the case. But it is not the GIAC-X File. That's for sure. Call them up and ask!!

This is an email I got from Donald@STaSIS about their software when I was looking for chips a few months ago:

In reference to your question about the Signature Series software, I want to clarify a couple of things. First of all, it is not GIAC software. We do use the GIAC encryption, but the software is proprietary to STaSIS and was developed in conjunction with Mahle / Cosworth in England. It will not always have the same high horsepower numbers as some other ECU upgrades on the market, but this is due to the fact that we are offering a 4 year / 50,000 mile warranty on the software and drivetrain of the vehicle if purchased from a STaSIS Signature Series dealer, like Nalley Audi in Atlanta. That should also help explain the higher cost compared to other ECU upgrades on the market.

STaSIS is a GIAC dealer, because we feel it is the best software on the market, but we do not offer any warranties on the GIAC upgrades.

Dude... relax... I NEVER said it was an x-chip... all I said is that it was developed with GIAC and Mahle.

I believe what Donald@Stasis was stating to you was that it was developed by GIAC in conjunction with Mahle and Stasis. It does not have the same encryption as the normal GIAC software, nor does it have the same calibrations. The software was definitely developed by GIAC.

    I hope that clarifies.
