What's the big difference between a 2000 A4 and a 2001 A4 that makes then require different springs?

A guy I know is selling Neuspeed race springs but his part # is 55,02.25 and according to Neuspeed I need a 55,02.44....I didn't think that much changed between '00 and '01? Anybody know why the 55,02.25 won't work on my 2001?

Also, he's get Shocks he's selling but I don't know if they will fit, I tried to search bilstein's website and they don't come up. Anybody know what years these will fit:

    # F4-B36-208-H0 front
    # F4-BE3-2669-MO rear

    Thanks

That's weird, have you tried to call Nuespeed tech support?

Don't bother calling them. They suck at all questions that don't involve you buying something.

I tooo have wondered what the difference is between 2000 and 2001. ECS has different Bilsteins on the site for those cars. I've asked this question before but no one ever had an answer

    Re: Neuspeed Race Springs

The difference has nothing to do with us. In Europe the B6 was introduced in 2001 even though it didn't show up until 2002 here. This means that a lot of suspension sellers will have 2001 shown as a B6 even though it is still a B5 in this country. The 2002+ B6 suspension is considerably different than a B5.
