so, i was going to replace the bipipes yesterday and then going to do the exhaust immediately after that. i pull the driver's side stock pipe off. andnoticed it dripping as i was moving it to the shelf... looked in and there was a definite film of oil in it. looked in the upper intercooler hose and there was oil.. took that off and oil in the intercooler. oil in the dv's... oil everywhere.

Now, I've heard of a little oil build up in the lower intercooler hose, but never like this... My turbos sound fine and they perform great. I have noticed the car being a little sluggish.

what would cause this amount of oil in my air system?

PS... I got pissed, put the stock pipe back on (after cleaning), left the car on jackstands, and went for a long run... so nothing got done.

Some oil is normal. The crankcase ventilation is rerouted back into the y-pipe, so oil blowby and oil vapors tend to coat the intake tract.

If you take the parts off you can spray them down with brake or carb cleaner to clean them out.
