Car Got Broken Into This Morning Between 1am to 7am. I want to kill

Well, my car is no longer a virgin. Someone got into my car this morning without breaking ANYTHING!!! WTF, really. I got to thank them for this?

7:20am I walked to the parking lot to my car to go to work. Noticed the driver door is half shut, the trunk was not shut, I didnt have a good feeling right away.
then opened the door, the glove box and the arm rest box were open.
Here are what I lost for sure, my wallet(1 credit card inside, already called BOA), my 4 keys for the RNS-E, my CDs. not sure about whatelse
there are bunch of stuff on the seats and floor.

you know what's scarey, I have no idea how they got in without breaking my window and my door.
Now I worry they will come back and take my RNS-E unit, and I worry they will go to my apartment and take my other belongings.

I called the police but they couldnt do much, I will call my insurance later on to give them a heads up.
I really feel disgusted by this, this is the second incident. last time someone dumped trash on my car.

you guys have suggestions for me? I dont feel safe to leave my car anywhere.

I forgot to add, a pair of adidas shoes weren't taken.

sorry to hear that man!! have you heard tennis ball trick? maybe that's the way but im not sure. Change locks or set up some cheap webcams around house and leave it on recording while you are gone.

damn sorry to hear that. do you have any enemies or do you think these things are random acts? They could have gotten in easily with one of those jimmy the lock tools that fit into the window slot. Pro car thieves use them. It takes about 2 minutes to open the lock.

Did you have keys to your place in there? You said you are worried about someone breaking in to your home? I would definitely get THE CLUB or something like that to deter them from stealing the car in case they come back.

I don't have any advice for the RNS-E though. Did your alarm go off?

yea, I am thinking about that boy lives right downstairs of me. he is either cracked up or he deals it.

^^ i dont have any enemies, I am very nice to my neighbors and stuff and they know I work on my car all the time.
my alarm didn't go off. I worry about they break into my apt because it's not that hard to open the door since they already opened my car door.

u can get a security camera for ur apartment... as for ur car... maybe get an aftermarket alarm system.. they have ones that tell u wen people touch ur car n shit like u have a controller and it shows u ur car and it will beep if someone touches it... viper alarm systems i think has em..

Man sorry to hear about that. I've had it happen to me as well and it completely does leave you feeling violated. As someone mentioned...at least go out and buy a "club" or similar for now to deter them coming back and trying to take the car.

If you haven't thought about it yet...call one of the credit bureau's and place a fraud alert. This should initiate a precaution for 90 days that if anyone tries to open an account under your name etc, that you have to be called and approve the transaction. You mentioned they stole your wallet so it's a precaution to take that couldn't hurt. I believe you only need to call one of the credit companies and they will contact the other two for you.

Also if you think your apartment door is fairly easy to break into...I would march right into the front desk and demand they take care of this immediately (either with new locks and/or new door).

A few years ago, some theives hit our apt complex, they went from car to car... 2 evos, 1 t/a, & 4 dsms all next to one another got hit...

Ironically, after installing alarms for 5 years or so, I still didn't have one on my car that time...

My best advice, if you've got valuables in your car that you're worried about, one of the best add-ons to an alarm are pain generators. Basically small sirens designed to go inside the vehicle. I had 3 in a dsm of mine back in the day, and you did not want to be inside that car very long with those going off. I could picture having one behind the center vents in the A4... he'll be deaf before he gets the 2nd key in the rns-e.

For you folks with systems in your trunks, put one on each side of your trunk hitting a would-be theif from both sides.

and the best part about those...is when they're going off, they'll never hear you coming

Man that sucks, i know how it is i got a junk load of stuff stolen from my car a few months back. I live in the middle of no where, and i cant recall if i left my car unlocked bymistake or not. either way they took my gps which was not in plain site.

yeah, you can trigger them off your alarm's siren output... but check the alarm specs first, because some can't support more then 1 or 2 sirens off the factory trigger lead... In that case, you'll need to use a relay (I did for more power)

what's scary is that that's the time if they're slow.... I've seen people get into brand new cars (ones which have similar levels of alarms to ours -- and without breaking things) in less than 45 seconds. granted these were lock smiths... but i think it's a safe assumption that any experienced thief would on the same if not a higher level than your average lock smith

p.s. - i read somewhere about a guy who electrified the seats in his car so that if anyone got in it at all without him deactivating the alarm they got a taser-strength jolt.

i don't know whether or not something like that is legal (or safe... just think if your remote didn't turn it off ) but it sure as hell sounds cool, and totally doable with a little wiring know how, some misc. supplies, an on/off switch (like one that would be for a siren in a standard alarm), and a spare car battery

I got home from work today and found out my neighbor's carSSSS were robbed as well. it's really fun now. police and detectives will be busy
