Greddy Intercooler Mounted. Pics.

Mounted the Greddy Intercooler. First of all there were three very big problems with this setup. First of all it does no come with the correct mounting hardware and when you call Greddy they aren't even aware that they make an intercooler kit for an Audi. Second of all they should specify that this intercooler is not made for an Automatic, due to the tranny cooler being in front of the radiatior it is almost imposible to fit the bumper over the interooler. Third but not least this kit doesn't fit under the bumper b/c my car is non sline so the bumper is shorter. All in all its a great product and i feel a good pick up but i had to butcher my bumper to make it fit.

maybe if you get the front ABT lip it will cover up the Intercooler. just an idea.

damn sorry man but that looks wrong, half of it is hanging out the bottom, you probably don't care though, you're a pretty performance orientated kinda guy anyway's....you should probably put on a splitter to cover that bad boy up

Time for an S-line bumper? perhaps DTM? Whatever you do cover that up, not necessarily only for looks but to protect that intercooler for when you bottom out. That is the more important priority

i dont know what bumper to get b/c i dont want to butcher another one. I might get the DTM but i dno yet. I buttomed out the intercooler this morning so its not to good right now.

ABT front lip should do the trick. Not many people sport it, looks great, and probably no need to butcher up the front of another bumper.
Some Xenons on your car would complete the look.

The DTM Front bumper is cheaper than that lip.

Pete - looks to me like you mounted it upside down. After looking at it on your car. There is no way that is right. I would seriously take it to someone and have them look at it. The only reason i say this is because 1 you should not see the intercooler like that no matter what front end you have. The sline font end is not that different than your front end, also i would be concerned that when you hit a bump you will snag that or on a steep curb.

Oah boy.... Well, Ive got the same kit sitting in my basement... had all the hoses off and such... didn't have a spline driver to take off bolt to hook it onto the bumper.. Good thing is that I've got the S-line.. We will see how much trouble I have in the next couple of days.. GL with your decision though..

John i'll help you do the clear corner mod so i can see your intercooler with the bumper off. Worse comes to worse i will pick up another non sline front bumper and have it painted.

Looks good. Maybe S-Line bumper and blackout RS4 grill should be next? That would IMO complete your car.

even if i did mount the intercooler upside down it is still going to be mounted right up to the bumper (not bumper cover) and still stick out. i really dont know what to do.

anyone have a install guide for the greddy intercooler?? i dont understand how it could be mounted without cutting the bumper. if it is possible to mount it like the car above im going to get a new bumper cover.

Yeah, the local dealer said there was some cutting to make it fit "right side up" so I decided against it. But the upside-down thing, scary that it hangs so low. You would think GREDDY would have a better solution.

Ok eveyrone i had this installed on my other B7 and u HAVE TO remove the bumper reinformcent bar out of there to make it fit..It does fit once u take that off..On my B7 i have now i got the AWE tuning FMIC Best fitment and its an audi oriented brand unlike greddy something i would never buy again for an audi..let me know how it works our for u thanks

i removed the crash bar and it perfect. did a custom mount on it.
