My car has been sitting in the garage for 3 weeks. I'm going back home next week. What should I do when I go back? Wife said battery is dead already.

Re: Help - Car parked for 3 weeks

when u go home, charge ur battery thoroughly, shouldn't be dead though, but if it is charge it completely and then start it but wait u'll hear a lot of funky sounds because it has been sitting for awhile don't drive it till the car begins to idle smoothly and when u start to drive off keep the revs down for a good 10 min until the oil fully circulates and the engine warms up, without the oil completely circulating u can damage the engine so just take it easy on the car for awhile!

Re: Help - Car parked for 3 weeks

    Thanks for the replies...
BOPOH - in your case, planning is everything... you should put your car on jacks, add a little more tire pressure, add gasoline stabilizer, have all new fluids in, etc...

I was asking about my case because it is not a long period, but it's not normal either. I'm afraid the dealer is going to tell me I have to replace all the fluids and shit...
