    S-Line worth the wait?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I've been searching for an S-Line A4 with NO luck.

I'm not sure what the deal is, I see them on the road all over the place but none are for sale!

    My question is this.

Is it really worth the wait and extra $$$? Or should I buy the FLAWLESS 2007 non S-line that I found near me. Then add the door blades, bumper and coilovers (which I would do regardless).

Any advice or things I may be overlooking?

AZ members my Audi fate is in your hands.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

i was in the same boat. I bought a certified pre-owned non s-line that im picking up this week with 100k warranty and flawless body/paint and low miles. Im adding the s-line bumper and door blades later, the only thing im really not happy about is the halogen headlights but i will still have my audi.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

As the year goes by any B7 in new form will be harder to find especially with the 0.9% promotions going on in some parts of the country like here in L.A. They're simply making room for the new B8.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

im assuming youre getting manual trans but if you want auto then u gotta get an s-line. the paddle shifters are very convenient and i use them all the time. if you get a non sline then u might as well just get an rs4 style bumper like deval or whatever.

Not sure what spec differences you have in the States, but I'm definitely pleased I went for an S-Line.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

The S-Line is worth it, but its going to become more and more difficult to find one.

I bought a non s line, and I certainly have s line envy. I love the perforated steering wheel and shift knob. You're going to have to spend to make a non s into an s. I already bought the sport suspension, and I'm trying to find some s line door blades for mine.

If you're going to do coils, body kit, etc.. you will still see the slight differences in the interior.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

i would expand the scope of my search to include neighboring states or demand that your favorite audi dealer locate one and swap out for it for you. it might take some extra driving / haggling, but it will be worth it. we're talking about a car here, and the sline vs. the non are just two different cars imo.

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

    here is my 2 cents...

I bought a non-sline when i got my car, A. steal of a price, B. didnt know much about the b7s when i got it. I am very happy I didnt go sline, why? well ya sline has nicer cosmetic things: door blades, trunk spoiler, front bumper, but here is how I thought...car will not stay stock, I usually replace front bumper, s4 door blades are nice and man 3 piece spoilers look sick.....and you will lower you car sooooo why sline?

o ya, interior wise its a bit different: steering wheel and knob...you can live without it =D

    Re: S-Line worth the wait?

lets put it this way, what would you see more everyday? A. the exterior or B. the interior. Correct answer B. The Sline interior is far better than the non-sline interior sorry but its the truth.
Yes, its comes down with what you can live with but for having the perforated steering wheel and shifter as well as the black headliner made all the difference atleast for me it did.
Either way Welcome, goodluck, and happy hunting. I'm sure whatever you get you will be happy and that really is the bottom line.

I bought the S-line shifter several months ago and love it. So much better than the stock shifter. I actually like the look of the Non-sline steering wheel. IMO, it looks cleaner. that's just MO though.
