So Im making my own oil catch can. The housing is made out of 3" aluminum tubing cut to 5" long with a bung on the bottom threaded with 1/4" NTP and a 1/4" ball valve for draining the oil. I am placing a baffle inside so the air is forced to go to the bottom of the can and flow back up to the other side to vent into the TIP. I was planning on stuffing stainless steel wool in the bottom under the baffle, but just fitting the piece in there (without cutting) left a pile of little steel threads. Now I REALLY dont want that circulating into my turbo, so for those of you with experience, is the baffle enough to seperate the oil from the air? even without filtering thru anything other that going around the baffle...
