2008 Sline Way up in the air?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi all!

I was just noticing a few 2008 A4's Sline cars. Did Audi raise the cars up a bit? I have noticed BMW's, Lexus, and even other cars like honda's that look like they have been lowered but its like that from stock. Then you look at a new A4 that is supposed to be "sport tuned" as they say and the ass end looks like its made for off roading. Is this me or what??

Could be s-line cars without the sportsuspension.

The Special Edition package came standard with the S-line body features, but not necessarily with the sport suspension.

However, I just bought an S.E. package with the sport suspension and its definitely higher than my 05 Ultra Sport Edition.

Im on the sport suspension, and unhappy with teh height as well. Im just going to throw some Eibach springs on the stock shocks and lower it about 0.75-1". Should be perfect then.

I just don't get it... some other cars are lowered from stock but the audi a4 now we have to lower on our own and spend some more money.... just stinks when you buy a new car and its way up in the air and others stock are not.....

Yes...however once you lower it on coil overs, the ride and handling will be superior to all those other cars.

When I bought my s-line it looked like I could through it into 4low, and hit the mud! I gave it a few weeks and settled nicely... still an unfriendly gap, but better than before... CO's are on the way to fix existing issue.

Since the '08 is an outgoing body style, Audi made S-Line standard all '08 models, however it is limited to exterior enhancements only and does not include sport suspension unless you opt for the $500 S-Line package option.

Re: 2008 Sline Way up in the air?

I have an 08 SE with sports suspension and its not too bad. I mean the front is pretty low for stock, but the rear could definitely use an inch lower...I was actually thinking to myself yesterday, i think the quattros might be a little lower than usual as well...

yes, actually audi suspensions have been getting somewhat higher. the 05.5 sport suspension was the lowest of the b7 models, and the lowest of all was the 02 b6 sport suspension

The height for the sport suspension is humiliating. The non sport is actually mortifying. Dont know why every other manufacturer seems to get a nice stock/sport stance and Audi owners get the shaft.

So hilarious that this is "sport" suspension:

My exact gripe.... After we spend all this money we have to spend some more to lower it to even look nice..... and not like a honda!

The 3 series sport package is definitely lower and looks better off the lot than our cars do.
