Weird thing is on both my S4s, this was the case. It was weird, I found out that when I am at WOT my car felt slower than if I were at 60-90% throttle. I thought maybe it had something to do with running too rich by too much throlle input, but it is drive-by-wire, and should adapt. Not sure, but when I give rides I never give it WOT, always 3/4ths.

Any other input?

Interesting situation, I've heard of WOT on certain cars (not Audi) isn't really WOT. Its like 80-90% on some drive by wire systems. It's not like old cable systems where 100% is pedal to the metal, the computer can change the throttle position to meet its needs, and that usually means staying emissions efficient on OBDII or TCS.

Far as the dyno results I don't know, I cant say it works based on one dyno session, I would like to see more people do WOT vs Part Throttle (60-90) with a Log showing the computer recognized it as part throttle the whole time plus the dyno results. I don't doubt anything, I just want to see more proof especially with the actual mod installed, not just someone pushing it and assuming its a certain percent throttle.

We already have the stopper installed here in Australia from the factory.

i drove around for a couple days with it off once, and car didnt feel the same WOT...

so quite possibly it does work

What if my car was originally H-Box, but put an M-Box in there with the chip?

The reason why the stopper works is because WOT on these cars gives more than 1bar of pressure, which just activates the DV's and cuts power. There is a threshold at around 3/4 which doesn't activate the DV's, giving you max power. I'm curious to know if people with upgraded DV's feel a power loss at WOT.

I typically drive b/w 1/5-3/4 throttle. However, when I go from 3/4 to WOT, there does seem to be a little bit more juice.

I'd also like to add, that this is after the GIAC flashed Mbox. Before the flash, when I advanced the throttle from 3/4 to WOT, I was always surprised at how little I'd feel.

This is the first time I have ever heard of anything regarding 3/4 throttle giving better throttle response or more power than WOT, and frankly I call BS. Don't you think that tuners like GIAC, VAST, APR, etc would have coded their software differently if that were true?

More air = more power. Airflow @ WOT > airflow at 3/4 throttle. Seems pretty simple to me.

BTW, the DV's are activated any time there is a boost to vacuum transition in the DV. Power does not = boost. You don't loose boost or power because of your DV's under WOT and constant throttle unless they are stuck open by a mechanical failure.

^2nd. I was paying attention on the way to work this morning. Was checking the boost gauge also, and turbos actually spooled quicker at less than WOT than they did at WOT.

I am stage 3, and I feel the same thing. I don't know if it is in my head, but it really does feel like the throttle has a faster response at 3/4 than WOT.

Its turbo lag, if you give the turbos time to spool up or slowly push the gas pedal to 3/4 throttle it will feel faster. That doesnt mean i will be faster.

rob (xjinct) and i were goin to try this we went to home depot, they had all the rubber tips but were all out of the 5/8 that we needed, i guess all the other s4's beat us to it. if i see some 5/8 rubber tips i will grab some and ill check it out

the rubber stop should probably help with turbo lag when banging thru gears since at WOT with a stage 3 youll most likely lag, im GUESSING this will eliminate it cause your only 60-90% on the throttle giving the turbos a better time to spool with less or no lag
