Hey guys thinking about getting a testpipe for my A4, but i want to know if its worth all the trouble. I know i have to figure out something for the CEL. I currently have a magnaflow catback. Are there any suggestions on TP brands? Will Revo Stage II help for the CEL problem? Do the defoulers work?

    Re: Testpipe Q?

all test pipes will give u a CEL, u need to use either a spacer or a software like REVO or APR to delete the CEL!

    Re: Testpipe Q?

I just installed my ER TP yesterday that I had sitting in my garage for awhile. I know some have dyno'd TP's and showed little or no gain, but I can def feel a difference in how the car drives. I have the stock exhaust so sound didn't really change, but the turbo spools up alot sooner and peak boost seems to come on sooner/stronger.

I used the defouler (since I didn't feel like The $50 to reflash the Cat delete code; I'm REVO Stg 2). One small and one long (both non drilled, just enough to fit the sensor). So far no CEL, even with a little ideling; only time will tell though.

I've had a TP for over 2years and no CEL using a spark plug non fouler from autozone. The revo 2 file automatically deletes the code anyway.

Test pipes cause bad karma and other negative consequences. Go with a HFC instead.

A bad smell?? Hell no that straight fuel smell is the best lol. A bad smell would be if the cat was still in there and everytime you step on the gas it smells like shiz. atleast if your behind your own car smelling it while you step on the gas. haha

I've got an 034 test pipe. Very well crafted, as well as a metal tube can be crafted.

APR tuned so I don't have a code. My butt-dyno likes it.
