Since you have AWE, you already have a downpipe. What you need is a test pipe. The way our cars are setup the cat converter is bolted on to the turbo, and then the exhaust is attached to the other end of the cat. The test pipe goes in place of the cat. So the tp bolts to the turbo and then to the exhaust. I believe.

Yes the tp will remove the cat, but since u have apr software u can have cel removed

I have one ready for install...Audi told me that they would void my drivetrain warranty if I did it... Anyone have a clue why this would be?? Could it be the increase in torque??

Then tell me this. I have been having nothing but squeek problems with my brakes and the douchebag service manage said because of my "aftermarket wheels" which weigh less than OEM's, they wont warrenty it. Mind you, the car only has 4600 miles on it. . .

if i got stuck in a bullsheet situation like that heres what i would probably do. explain the problem. when they say its the aftermarket wheels say come on thats b.s how can you prove that the car is new etc. then explain to them that you feel that they are providing terrible service by negging you for the wheels and that you could very easily put your stock wheels back on and bring it back but you dont feel like having to go through the shenanigans just to get your brakes fixed so tell them that you wont give them a poor review on their service if they dont make you put your stock wheels back on. that should save you from swapping wheels. if they still neg you, tell them their service is horrible, you will be giving a poor review / contacting aoa or whoever and that you will never be returning nor will you ever reccommend them to anyone again. im so tired of hearing these bs stories where the dealer uses any little excuse they can to skimp out on service . we pay good money for our cars and dealer service is expensive so to keep you coming back they should treat you well.

A dealership can refuse to pay out for pretty much any reason they want and you just end up screwed since it would cost more to fight it in court then the repair. But in the case of testpipes, there's little recourse you would have. You have violated federal law (admittedly i've had one so i dont care) and made this car into an off road and non registerable vehicle when you remove a cat. The dealership should have no requirement to service a vehicle that is basically considered an off road or race vehicle at this point. I'm certain it says so somewhere in their service agreements.

I don't need to know the Service side of the dealership just like i don't know part numbers for parts. I'm in Sales and I know of performace modifications. Like i said before, the modifications you do to the car isn't going to viod EVERYTHING warranty wise, it's mainly based on the dealerhsip if they wish to service your car or not....
