A couple months ago I was getting smoke out of my exhaust after 4-5 minutes of driving, and only when coming to a stop after boosting.

Thursday morning I did the following

    Motul Filter
    Mobil 1 0-40
1/2 can of Seafoam in a full tank of gas
1 can in the the oil 50 miles before the oil change
The other 1/2 of can through the intake.

I only noticed 2 reall differences
    NO MORE SMOKE
And alot cooller exhaust at the back of the car

    I am a believer

Nice, maybe next time you'll upgrade from that Mobil1 garbage to a full synthetic!

How long did it take to run the half can through the intake? Did you do distilled water first, or just the Seafoam?

Also, you didn't say but I'll just ask anyways, did you notice any improvement in throttle response?

    Re: Seafoam to the rescue.

Mobil 1 does indeed make full synthetic oils (Groups IV and V). But for the record, 0w-40 is not fully synthetic. It's a synthesized Group III oil, or a mineral-based oil made synthetic.

    Clear?

If not, read post number two, click the link, use search.

    Clicky click

    Cheers!

I dont know about throttle response. I will find out tomorrow as I am going to race my my friends 330I

As fas as how long it took my S/O was behind the wheel with the engine running and I put in straight seafom until almost stalled, puled out and did it again. It took abot 30 minutes.

Total tome for oil cahange and Seafoam was 45 minutes. I used a drill powered pump and drew the oil up through the dipstick tube.

If anybody in South Florida needs to work on their car I rent a single bay garage I rent for 100.00 per month have a full set of tools and VAG PRO
