Another Freakin Peoblem!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanna throw this car off a cliff man, i'm losin it! ok so now every time i start my car in the mornin and stuff i start to drive and my "BRAKE" indicator starts flashing and beeping the handbrake is down and i don't think it's sticking i get on the freeway and it randomly starts doing this! on the street everywhere! i have to stop turn off the car lock the doors wait 30sec and then go to stop the problem! any ideas?? and great my VAG doesn't work so i can't use that either!

Bad ABS module? I say this because when you're vagcomming the ABS module, you get this flashing beeping brake warning light to warn you that ABS is currently disabled.

well my pads and rotors have like 5k on them! i don't think i've ever flushed the fluid though, i guess that could be it, anyone know a DIY on how to flush it??

^^no no what i meant to say i noticed my fluid was low but instead of just adding on i would rather flush it and add a new one!

gotcha. My clutch fluid resevoir is low, need to add some. Gotta figure out what to use though since it says mineral oil on the cap.

Standard process is to have someone press the brake pedal as you open and shut the bleed valve at each wheel. PITA and can damage the master cylinder if your buddy pushes the pedal too far down (some use a 2x4 under the pedal to avoid this.) But really, the best way to flush is a Motive power extractor - makes it a one-person job and less chance of messing up the process.

^^please explain!!!! and Dave, the mineral stuff is the same for the PS fluid something called Hydrolikol Minerol from Audi/VW i couldn't find it at any auto parts store but some guy at the dealer gave it to me as a freebie haha!

Mine does it to. It has something to do with your brake lines (I believe).

I could be wrong. Mine did it all the time in the winter. Barely does it now that it's warmer.

I go 60 70 mph in that shit, you just need god tires and never touch the brake and hold the damn thing on the road at any price..and it works, i never had any crash

It's recommended that you flush and not just add fluid. What type of fluid depends on what you want to do with the car. Are you running stock brakes? Are the pads low? Do you plan to track the car at all? HPDE?

Searching for "brake fluid" in B6 A4 returns 422 threads.

^^too lazy and tired to search, still repainting my door handles since 12 today! i have stock brakes with rotors/pads that have maybe 6k on them they're basically brand new! so what fluid to use? i might track my car soon though so the better the performance the better!
