Starting problem

so I have been having this starting problem recently. Whenever my car sits for awhile it takes about 4 cranks or so before it will start. Once it warms up it starts fine until I let it sit for awhile. Other than that it drives fine. Any suggestions on where I should start or look? On a side note if I'm driving farther than about 20 miles at one time I get a trouble code of P0116. Short trips never cause it to come on.

Looks like you need an engine coolant temp sensor both from what is going on and what the code is saying.

So the ECT has an effect on the car starting?

bump...im having the same problem right now...replace the coolant temp sensor but the car is still reading it is -15 degrees and last i checked its about 80 today...still wont start any suggestions?
