    Best stock Brake pads replacement.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
K, just ordered some slotted/dimpled rotors from Adam on the GB. Now looking to get some pads. Nothing too pricey, just have stock calipers. However, do wants some GOOD pads that don't have dust like the stock pads. Any suggestions.

    Thx.

Get ceramic pads. I have them for my front brakes after Induktion goofed on my order. Mintex reds are good too but ceramics STOP!

Does ceramic wear the rotors more than semi-metalic?

Pagids. Not too expensive, work great, hardly any dust, and NO squeaks...not even a peep!

I don't know for certain, but I haven't seen any warp/wear on my rotors. Ceramics ARE expensive...I had to get mine as a last minute "I NEED THESE" type deal. I wasn't too comfortable with leaving my car in DC overnight.

x2. I have Pagid pads too. Good price, nice stopping power from stock, and moderate dust. They squeek a little bit though even after anti-squeal gel.

I just replaced ceramic Akebono's with Hawk HPS... The initial bite of the Hawk's is good however the Akebono's bite better and are MUCH less susceptible to fade

Re: Best stock Brake pads replacement.

We can beat anyone's posted online price on Hawk or Mintex pads. If we cannot, we'll send them to you for free.

As far as OEM replacement pads, both Pagid and ATE were at one time OE suppliers to VAG for pads (both of which we stock).

Feel free to send us a PM and let us know what you want to do, or if you need any personal consultation on which pads to go with. Like already mentioned, the Mintex are going to throw very little dust, but there are definitely better gripping pads out there other than Mintex Red Box pads.

Great pads, running w/ ATE Slotted fronts. Almost no dust, and minimal fade.

If you haven't seen the ATE rotors , my friends call my car "The Jimmy Newtron" ..LOL for all guys with kids.

I ordered Powerslot Cryo rotors for the front with the Hawk HPS pads. I haven't received them yet since the cryo rotors were backordered but I should have them by Monday. I called AWE today to see if they can get me the Cryo rotors for the rear so I have matching rotors plus upgraded stopping power. Gonna use the Hawk HPS on the rear too. I have to do this until I can get a BBK and new rims.
