Hello, and welcome!

-- brakes: Those rotors are fine, but read these three threads and tell me you 'need' them... larger OEM or something like a slotted Powerslot would provide better value (unless you're tracking regularly).

What Maverick suggested was the OEM brakes from the 2000-2002 S4, which are plug'n'play and volumes better than ours with out breaking the bank. Hawk makes brake pads, and many people like their HPS models for our cars (as opposed to the ceramic ones). Also worth noting/searching are Ferrodo and Mintex pads. You'll basically want to find the best street ones with the highest temp ratings for proper low-speed and high-heat braking performance compromises. DO NOT neglect your brake fluid when re-doing brakes. (In-depth and a lot of reading but... illuminating:

Ask around in the local Cali forum and you'll find glowing recommendations for indy tuner shops that will be better equipped to assist you in upgrading your car. We call them 'stealerships' for good reason, plus they're usually averse to modifying the cars.
-- VAG-Com: An OBD-II port (on-board diagnostic v2... a digital tool plug-in) cable with USB interface that goes with software for your laptop to log data, modify options (like DRLs, metric/Imperial, windows, seat belt chime, etc) and so on.
