    Question Clutch question!?!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I just had my clutch replaced. I went with ECS Stage 3 kit (flywheel, pressure plate, clutch). Everything works great, but I have a weird noise when standing at a red light, on neutral, there is a weird rattle/noise. If I press the clutch, the rattle/noise goes away. What could it be?

    Thanks for your help!

    thanks for the reply!

It's a lightweight flywheel, but not the aluminum model. You're saying it's normal, even if it's not a "light" noise (not loud, but enough to hear it at a red light).

Edit: Made some tests, the noise gets much less noticeable when the AC is tuned off, which makes sense it would come from the flywheel from what I read on the Internet...thanks for you reply Papachristou.

I'm still taking it easy on the clutch kit for at least one week. I picked up my car this morning from the garage, so I prefer waiting a little before fully testing the clutch kit.

no, it ain't a fun job to do ;)

...but well worth it for the $$$ it cost to upgrade the clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. Last thing I would want is to mess it up because I couldn't wait a couple of miles before enjoying the upgrade.
