I was always wondering what it would be like to have a car with the front emblem painted to blend in with the grille, but keep the back chrome. What other comments have you received about doing it the way you have?

Also, isn't there a place in south OC, possibly huntington beach area that has an awd dyno? I can't remember the name of the place off the top of my head.

Re: Uh Oh-- New FMIC on B7

Damn, your car looks real sick. For all you guys/gals who have FMIC... can you feel a big difference in performance when it is warm out? To me, it seems like I am getting a lot of heatsoak with the rising summer temperatures. I can feel a noticeable difference from when i drive to work, about 75 degrees, and when I come home from work, it has been in the 90's. Will a FMIC keep the performance consistent when the outside temperatures increase or is this just how life is going to be with a turbo? I am almost inclined to go for a FMIC before exhaust just because of the heatsoak that I'm getting.

but that does differ from each FMIC, the new AWE one has been proven to be able to stand the heat!

Re: Uh Oh-- New FMIC on B7

FRONt mount intercooler Made big improvements!!..Much more constant power at all times and when 90 Degrees out in cali it felt like it did with out the intercooler if it were to be 40 degrees outside and foggy.. i would guess around 15hp increase it felt like it did when i adding the EVOMS intake to the ----AWE exhaust and Giac X chip-- a good 10 hp atleast and i notice little increase.. it puurrrss.. not to mention from a dead stop to like 120 mph at 80 degreees outside it feels like it just wants to hit 160 ... i will this week be getting the dyno run without the FMIC and let you know what i pull then i will do a couple of runs with the FMIC.. Then new custom exhaust and custome tune-- see where that takes us---- here are some more pictures

Tails are the first thing i got done to the car .. i like it a lot its very original and it has a 2 tone paint .. it took time and effort some dont like it but i have many people asking how i did it and how they can do it.. its much more costly then cheap tint... Roof is still grey sorry.. =( just tried to NIke ID my audi =P want it different. i might re do the roof with water paint though as i did with the hood

and p.S i painted front emblems myself

i feel and hear the purring of the FMIC at all times.. when gasing constant torque not to mention if feels and sounds like much much much more air is flowing through your vehicle.. id say yes it will solve most of those issues at 90 degrees the car fstill feels great pushing it hard. which most turbo owners know they tend to loosen up when its really hott.. but it stays feeling fresh and very 100% up to its potential

what did you do with the power steering cooler?

by the way, i just installed the racetec fmic and according to my boost gauge, i lost about 2psi of peak boost since the install. i also noticed that it holds boost longer which isn't a bad trade off. can anyone else running an fmic confirm how much boost was lost after their install?

    thx.

Yes I feel a difference in everyday driving and when playing around.

I actually ran my car at the track and I felt the FMIC piping after a few runs, and holy hell. The left side was hot enough to make me take my hand away pretty quickly, and the right side was pretty f-ing cold. Money well spent IMO!

Re: Uh Oh-- New FMIC on B7

Thanks for answering my questions... Does anyone have any input regarding what to purchase for my car first? Either a FMIC or exhaust? I would probably go with either the AWE FMIC or the AWE quad tip exhaust in black. The AWE FMIC numbers on their website look very impressive and since the summer months are upon us, a FMIC almost seems to be a smarter decision. But, I do really want to have the money ready to be one of the first to get the new quad tip exhaust in black when it comes out... Or maybe I should just get off of the forum and find myself a better job so I can buy both... Decisions, decisions.

Exhaust !! haha no need for FMIC if you have no MODS!.. power steering was repostitioned alittle bit but still works 100% =) yes i feel much longer Boost hold and psi lower ? not sure i hit marks from stop sign to stop signs much faster then i did without the FMIC so not sure if i lost PSI.. seems much quicker off the line..
My FMIC is as of NOW a Custom prototype and i will release details in a few weeks when they go into production and i have a fully polished one on my car rather theen the one you see here.

HAHA YES I WANT CLEAR CORNERS!!! I AGREE hehe

A FMIC is next on the list for me. Either AWE or racetec, right now I'm leaning towards racetec because of the price of AWE's.

Yeah, I have Revo stage 1 right now... I was planning on getting the stage 2 once I got exhaust, but would probably need a fuel pump because of the fuel cuts. Damn, I wish I had 4-5k laying around so I could get exhaust, FMIC, and fuel pump... but don't we all?
