Ocean Blue/Titanium Pics

Hey guys, a few days ago I traded my '04 1.8T for this '08 2.0T. I haven't seen this combo on here yet, but I fell in love with it when I saw it in person. Please excuse my poor skills and camera...





I love it! It has a great handling/ride comfort compromise, and the brakes are great. All in all, this is the better car for me. It feels a lot more solid than my previous A4, and this has everything I need and then some. The only thing I liked better on the B6 was the clutch, as the hydraulic system in this one just seems inconsistent and too light. I'm sure I'll get used it. Also, the steering seems a little overboosted at low speeds, and feels kinda artificial. With that said, I'm very happy I made the upgrade. I don't plan to mod (I say that now, we'll see), but I am going to get the windows tinted and remove the dealer plate frames.

I have two questions...
I think my knob is on crooked. I just lift up on the surrounding trim, and there will be a clamp underneath, correct?

When I first looked at the engine compartment, I thought it looked like there should be an underbody tray just before the firewall and towards the rear of the engine? Am I crazy, or am I missing something?

The M was the daily for two years when I first got it, and then I got sick of the close calls I had when it snowed. With proper snow tires, it was fine in the slush, but I didn't want to risk getting smashed by someone else. It has Eibach springs with Koni shocks/struts, Borla section I & II, with a Rogue Engineering muffler at the rear. Here's another pic with my buddy's stock one...

Thanks! Yeah, pictures definitely don't do this color the justice it deserves. It's my first non black/silver/gray car, and I'm happy to have a change with something this nice.

It's the wierdest thing, but it is normal for there to be no battery cover. I went to the dealership and started popping hoods on the cars in the lot to check. Not one had a battery cover. LOL

U can lift off the shifter boot by pulling up under the chrome trim (its clipped in). However there is some weird clamp holding the shifter knob, dont know exactly how that works, but it is possible.

On the drivers side there is indeed an opening by the firewall and under tray, nice and oval, I suspect thats where the exahust for the V6/V8s go, cause on the passenger side thats where our exhaust runs through.

Good looking car!!


BTW: Only the B7 RS4 and earlier model B6's had the battery cover, its like a $25 thing from the dealer.

Congrats and FINALLY someone posted a pic of the OB/Ti pkg!! I have a OB car but in the non-$line config. I planned on ordering an A4 in Sprint Blue but the build time was too long for my time frame...I have slowly been converting all the grey and silver trim pieces over to black so its good idea looking at your car to see how it will come out!!

Once again congrats and i'm really suprised I dont see many OB A4's out there! I NEVER see my color here in PHX, Az.!!

Ok, thanks a lot. I would have thought there would have been some sort of tray to keep some snow/dirt/salt out of there, but I guess not. No big deal.

whitevdub- I wasn't on the MB, but I did take that entrance to go to Glen Cove Rd. Your A4 sounds sweet, hopefully I'll see it one day.

HeHateMe- No crazy plans as of yet, besides the little things I listed above. I'm going to try and resist the urge to do some software, but who knows.

I love the color...it looks awesome at night too, like BMW's Interlagos Blue on the new Ms. I'm going to try and get some nice photos of it after I wash it and use a decent camera. Thanks again for the comments!

That is a great combo and a 6spd to boot! You did very well. My guess is that the M3 is a summer car while the A4 is a year-round, do everything car.
