A buddy of mine gave me the whole steering wheel column out of a 00 s4.It looks exactly the same as the one in my 96 a4 to the t. If i remove the ignition switch from the s4 one and try to put it where my 96 one is now, is it just plug and play?

He also gave me the key for the new ignition also. Would it be easier just replacing the whole column cause I have the whole thing in one piece.
    Thanks

i dont know, but wouldnt you need 2 keys, 1 for the doors and 1 for the ignition because they are different unless you use the clicker to unlock the doors
