Lets see some 1/8th miles times

Ive been looking around for some 1/8th miles times from these cars, but ive only been able to find a few. I checked s4biturbo.com and they only have a few 1/8th mile times on there, and they dont show the trap speeds. Im just curious to see what people are running...mainly on k03's but id like to see some k04 times as well. Theres an 1/8th mile track really close to me so i usually go there. Rockingham is over an hour away, and to be honest im tired of paying the tow fees from there to my house when i break something(and we all know about audi reliability...or lack there of) lol. I dont want these times to gauge what i should be running, because ive been around drag racing long enough to know that there are far too many variables to compare runs like that. Im more curious than anything. I remember a guy that used to take his s4 to piedmont a long time ago(01-02) and he could only manage mid 9's at around 70mph. He was completely stock, but that still seems really slow to me.

So if you could post some slips and your mods id really appreciate it.

Oh come on...i know someone has some 1/8th mile experience. If youve ran the 1/4 then you have some 1/8th mile times. Lets see them people.

Re: Lets see some 1/8th miles times

Piedmont sucks for the S4 imo. You can't go around the water box far enough to keep from getting the tires wet.
Stage 3s run mid-upper 7s and I have seen stage 2s run 8.20s. I am sure there have been 8.0 stage 2s somewhere though. As for your reliability I have made a couple of hundred passes in my S and never been towed home. I have trashed clutches and syncros more then once but always made it home
Also what is up with the S4 syncros right now? I have three cars here at the same time to redo them right now I have done lots of them in the past but to have three at once isn't normal for me. It is cutting into my drag strip time

Piedmont sucks for alot of cars...but i can see how it would suck even more for an awd car. Ive seen STi's and Evo's get sideways off the line there because of tires on one side being wet. It was never that bad in the crx though. I always ran on thurs nights so the Big Dogs were there laying down some nice rubber for me lol. I was pulling consistant 1.8-1.9's there on 205/50/14 dr's with a mild motor/suspension setup. The 510 was a different story though, but making a 2klb car with 480hp hook isnt an easy job...especially when you can only fit 245's in the rear lol.

Where do you usually run at? Let me know next time you guys go to the track...i wanna see NC's fastest s4 make a few passes!

Damn dude...youre either an awesome driver or else your version of "slight wind" is hurricane force winds coming from behind you lol. Good runs man!

Re: Lets see some 1/8th miles times

roxboro is a bit closer for me so I go there mostly. The 1/4th I have only run rockingham. dunn-benson is running 1/4 this year so I may try it. I also hear fayetteville runs the fastest of any of them. I am still trying to get my car tuned (my own software/fueling this year) and just got the new clutch in finally. I may be up for a few passes at piedmont or roxboro in a couple of weeks though. I'll try and let you know when we go.

Ran a 13.62 @ 99 mph on that run. You can see the slips on s4biturbo.com

I dont baby it at all.. Launch at around 4500 and by the time the clutch is all the way out im at about 6k with all 4 wheels churping and chanting. Dont let off the throttle at all between shifts, and shift at about 6400-6500, and shift fast.

I had ED @ induktion check it out to make sure it wasnt chipped and everything came back fine. I was spike 10-11 holding right around 7. She was about 45k miles, and running beautifully. Oh the good ol days of stock.

Re: Lets see some 1/8th miles times

Damn that sounds like an extremely healthy car. I dont know how you managed to power shift it...i tried it a bunch of times and it just wouldnt let me. I guess i could if i bounced it off the rev limiter for a few seconds lol. I could do it while short shifting at around 5krpms, but it never landind in its "sweet spot" when i did that...but that probably has more to do with my massive boost leak lol.

Evan-Definitely let me know if you hit up Piedmont. Id really like to see that beast. Oh...and are you planning on doing custom tuning for locals anytime soon? If so then write me in at the top of the list lol
