You guys might want to get that stuff fixed. Not cheap, I know, if you're out of warranty. From what I know, while your airbag light is on ALL of your airbags are disabled. Won't be pretty in the event of an accident.

VAG cars cannot use autozones airbag scan tool, Im pretty sure.

If you have a VAGCOM, that would be the easiest way. 99% of the time, atleast for me, on VAG cars, its a stupid fault caused by a pothole that is clearable.

There is no specific airbag tool :))) IMHO... Most of the code readers will help you, including AutoZone's. A lot of people who dont have VAGcom available go there to clear the code.

Re: Airbag dash light always on

Update: finally took car to dealer.

Performed guided fault finding diagnosis for $110 .

DTC 00 588 Air Bag Igniter Driver Side N95 Lower Limit Reached Sporadic Currently MVB 1 Reading Corre CT Reset Light as needed.

So they reset the light and it stayed off - for now. Anyone have a similar experience?

If the light returns part will need to be ordered at $738 and installed at labor of $165.

Anyone see a DIY for the driver side airbag?
