what's the longest the dealer has kept your car?

as of today my car has been at the audi dealership for 1 month. they have been waiting for audi approval to do work on a blown intake valve seal. they finally got approval, but are now waiting to get the proper tool to do the work. they have never done this procedure on a 3.2 v6.

i'm sure my car is parked out in the 100 degree sun all day, probably some mechanic driving an 83 tercel parks next to it and slams his door into everyday. or maybe i'm just getting really frustrated and fearing the worst...

1 month seems outrageous... anybody had similar experiences?

They had my car for about a week doing regular maintenance and some warranty work. But they gave me an A8 is a loaner so I wasn't complaining.

3 weeks. for a pcv valve. retarded SA kept saying it wasnt a pcv cause there was no cel. they replaced the oil cap (which i thought was retarded) then had to tear it down just to find out that indeed it was the pcv. at least they gave me an audi loaner tho. lol i put 1800 miles on the car and it only had 1100 when i got it.

Re: what's the longest the dealer has kept your car?

a little over a month for my last clutch job. it blew out on me at 45K miles and wasn't covered under warranty. so i just took my time finding the right aftermarket replacement and it was back ordered and took quite a while to receive. they provided me with a B7 avant s-line loaner though, not bad!

i got a 2.0T a4. not too bad, but i'm used to my 3.2. i'm also used to having a few more amenities. i have to say i'm really starting to like the 2.0T engine though. it gets great mileage, and i think with a little work could outperform or at least equal the v6.

a chip alone will have the 2.0t outperforming the 3.2- the only thing missing from that equation is the v6 exhaust note, admittedly better.
