I need a good (inexpensive, if possible) mechanic for when I move down there next month... Any recommendations? Also, I have some new mods I want to have done in the next few month (w/income tax check of course) so if anyone has a garage nearby that can be a friend or can assist, please let me know... Get involved!!

For those mod's that you are thinking about I would go to German Motoring, its near Coconut Grove and the only shop I would leave my car at. Their number is 888-599-6144, ask for Elliot tell him Justin sent you.

Feel free to give me a call whenever you move down here. We specialize in VW and Audi with plenty on experience in the tuning and high performance side of them. I've had about 9 VW's soo far including a 400whp 1.8T GTI and now a mk2 1.8T GTI project car. I also drive an A3 as a daily driver and we are definitely way cheaper than the dealer.
