Well I most admit that I am happy that I purchased the Maxcare Warranty with my 2001 Passat GLS. I went in to VW to purchase some floor mats and I went to talk to my service advisor about my Cam Chain Tensioner and how much it would run me to install a new one. Now I have done 2 timing belts on the 1.8 motor and one on the 30V V6 AVK motor, but for some reason I was really not looking forward, or even safe removing those cams.
So anyways my service advisor and the shop manager (he was about to leave) got on the phone and call MaxCare and well MaxCare is going to cover the cost of my Cam Chain Tensioner, Valve Cover Gasket, Upper Strut Mounts, Wheel Bearings, and Alignment.



The Guys over at Royal are top notch and i ll be buying them LUNCH, and maybe a couple of beers



And to top it all off my warranty is only valid for 1600 more miles.
