A4 Buying Advice

Hello everyone, Well im totally new to your site and thought id ask some advice on A4's as im looking at buying one
I have been looking at 2.0se ( petrol ) and the 1.9SE ( diesel )... preferably with the bose system and about 2001-2002 year, probably with 100K miles plus on the clock.
What things ( niggles ect ) do i need to be looking out for and whats your recomendations.
Any input would be most welcome

Well it will be hard for most of us to help you as we are nearly all Americans and only get the 1.8t and 3.0 in our A4's, no diesels for us :(. You are in the right section so that's all good. Make sure there are no leaks and the car has a full service history including the timing or cambelt at some point or you will need to do that very soon! I think it's pretty hard to find one with Bose in the UK, the standard stereo sounds pretty good, but whatever floats your boat. Watch out for peeling plastic or any gizmos that don't work because they are expensive to fix! Power steering can also occasionally be troublesome make sure it isn't leaking or making any weird noises!

Most importantly post some pics when you get it! Get a sport one so you can get those amazing S-Line seats that we can't get in the US!
