    Forge DV sound

Stock dv went bad, so i took my car to the dealer (Mckenna) to get a new revised one. But, they said nothing's wrong with the stock DV.
Fxxking axxholes lied to me ..lol
anyhow, I got my forge diverter valve installed yesterday. I had a forge spacer with the stock dv, and now the setup is forge dv and spacer.
Weird thing is that the DV sound is not as loud as before. I heard from many people that the forge diverter valve will be a bit more noticeable than the stock one, but even with the forge spacer the sound is about 1/3 of what the stock one(plus spacer) was making. Is this normal?? what do you guys think?

Oh, by the way i had a shop install my DV. But the guy who installed it has never done this job before. Maybe I should take it back and have them check?

    Re: Forge DV sound

Why did you put both the forge dv AND the spacer...? Just because you've bought one thing in the past for making noise, doesn't mean you have to keep it on your car forever...

Take the spacer out, leave the forge dv on, and you will have the best thing for your car, and for the hp you have...
And sell the spacer to someone who only cares about hearing awful noises (as the noise it produces doesn;t compare to REAL dv sounds)...

    Re: Forge DV sound

Look, we've done several tests here in Greece with the spacer on, and all it does, is to produce this silly sound...Nothing else...In some cases, we suspected cars losing power, instead of gaining. The most proper thing, is to wear only the forge dv, which is the best, you'll never have a problem with it breaking. Yes, the sound isnt loud, but it works the way it should. Which is the thing you care about the most...?
    For me, working right...
For others, making noise...So they leave on the OEM dv and the spacer, which is the loudest I think of all...

If you want to hear the DV get a CAI. Or just take the airbox out and put a cone filter on and a custom heat shield.

    Re: Forge DV sound

got ya. will get rid of the spacer soon and get a cai.
wait...but from what i've found out about cai's...they are known to suck in hot air not cold air... which means they are no better than spacers becus they will only make the dv louder...

just get a 3" cone filter and get the diy heatshield or just make one...it cost me $20 for filter and $30 to make a heatshield compared to $350 for a carbonio or evoms

    Re: Forge DV sound

That's what I'm trying to do prolly like next month or so.
Is K&N RU-3580 the right one? or is there anything better than that?
I don't know what to do with the heatshield tho, cus i don't wanna make it myself.
Probably going to get one from 00Black1.8T for 80bucks or something.
Can someone confirm the K&N product number though?
