umm... both the cars have bone stock engines and both are "basic bolt on eliminators," mine is the GTRS eliminator and Greg's is the 71r eliminator which is not the same as a 2871r (they are both smaller than the 2871r aka "full 2871r")

In the first video I was running the full ATP GT28RS on REVO Tuning, 91 octane and no MAF, open turbo, the second video was ATP/Eurocode 71R Eliminator 100% off the shelf setup with a 20 x 3.5 x 8 inch intercooler.

Motor is 100% stock, warranty replacement from Audi for oil sludge.

^^i asked because the 71R setup with everything there was $100 more and i don't know which one is better for my tiptronic! i want something that spools before 5k!

Both the GTRS and 2871r should spool before 5k. You should talk to RLB6 about the 2871r and 232power about the GTRS with a tiptronic. They should be able to give you some good feedback about each turbo.

No, that video was done on straight 91 octane. IIRC the car ran low 13 on that pass.

what RPM does the GTRS spool at?

is there any significant difference in the RPM in which it spools when going from a factory displcement 1.8 to say a 2008cc stroker?

Boost spool and rpm is dependent on what gear you are in. For example, full boost in 3rd gear on gtrs at sea level is ~4000rpms. 4th gear will drop to ~3800rpms to get full boost, 5th gear even lower. Get it? The gtrs spools much faster with a 2008cc motor over a 1784cc motor. My dyno logs from before/after 1.8-->2.0 build proved that. All done with a bolt on gtrs kit. Check my pic gallery if you want to see the dyno sheets... just look at the power curves and compare, don't look at when I hit full power as I am at 6000ft in elevation so I will have much more spool lag up here with the same turbo setup.

91 run = 8.572 at 80.5 mph
race fuel run = 8.215 at 86.49 mph
