I have no experience with their oil pumps but a lot of the Meyle parts I buy (I try not to anymore) just seem to be of lower quality than other manufacturers like Febi. Their price is usually a lot cheaper as well.

Sell me your old oil pumps...I dont understand why people buy new oil pumps when they hardly ever go bad?

Re: Is Mayle a good brand oil pump?

thanks for all the responses guys, i had one mayle pump in hand and compared it to the oem pump and it just dosen't look up to standard. maybe it works great just don't wanna take that chance. as for issam saying why am i/or people in general changing the pump? well pump has about 90k on it and im doing a complete rebuild with new pistons rods and everything else, so you wouldn't change the pump? i am. Regardless if they havent had many problems your there and youd be stupid not to. i think oem it is. thanks

Meyle doesn't make anything in Germany. Their assemble and inventory in Germany, but manufacture everything overseas in China, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other less expensive countries.
Their parts and prices are generally pretty cheap for a reason.

I would stick with the stock....I just recently did a motor rebuild including scat rods and pistons along with the meyle oil pump.....and after driving arround for two months the pump locked up and demagged the entire motor
