The wait is over...

I took delivery of my 08 A4 Special Edition this past Monday after waiting a week or so for it to come in.

Already installed the front grill filler plate and am in the process of choosing a tint shop to get my 5%'s installed. Other than that I'm keeping it as is. My car modding days are FINALLY behind me but I still like to hang around on the forums lol. All my money is getting saved so I can buy myself a Sea-doo RXT-X 255 - go check out the specs on that thing! 255 HP and 0-50 MPH in 2.9 Seconds!

Audi of Huntington NY is a great dealership and I would not think twice about buying from them again.

did you get the tints done by Audi? The sales associate spat some game about how if I dont get them tinted through the dealer the tint can mess up the window because Audi uses a special tint that is thinner. Can a $500+ tint job really be justified?

there just trying to make you pay more, the dealer if full of shit. thats false. a full tint should cost from 150 to 250. some places use different tint like carbon which is more expensive but is darker, but no where near 500. Unless there putting on the 3M protective paint on the front which 500 is a really good price. At my dealership they tried to sell me on just the 3M protective paint film for over a G!! i got full tint+3M protective paint film for 800.

I said my modding days were over too, so far I've swapped the air filter, done the APR software, put on the RS4 sway bar, getting CO's put on tomorrow, chrome mirror caps on order and wanting other stuff and I have only made one car payment so far. I think it is in our DNA.

Sea doo's are overrated, and get boring quickly. I've been riding them since I was a little kid, and I've owned a few as well (Xp, Spx). All were modded to go more than 65 mph.... and they all get boring.

nice car man...but you know your definitely going to want to mod the car out just by looking at the forums

you should do yellow fogs, vinyl tint the bumper lenses, and tint the tails, black vinyl the chrome trim around the windows/around the grill and maybe the front rings. i'm going to test out the rings in vinyl. RIMS and use those for winters

Congrats man, I took delivery of my 2008 A4 SE Quattro last Tuesday (06/03/08) and I've logged 750 miles on it in a week's worth of time. Same car, black on black interior.

And though I wish I could mod it a bit, I am currently short on funds...plus it's a lease for me. All I think I'm gonna do is get the front filler plate and maybe APR chip in the future. I'm lame, I know.
