I made a post here a few days ago about a start up issue. After taking a close look around the engine bay, I noticed a hissing so I took some things out to get a better look and this is what I found during that process, in order.
2001 awm, stock turbo, 65k miles.
#1
Taking off the hose that connects the intercooler to the manifold had oil inside of it? Where could this come from? I'm hoping not the turbo..
#2 what is this, is it supposed to be connected to something? if so, what? part number?
#3.. I think this is where the hissing is coming from. This hose is covered with oil and dirt. If it's leaking, it's a slow leak... I get the feeling there shouldn't even be oil going through this hose, but what do I know? Most importantly, whats the part number? I want to get it replaced asap (hopefully tomorrow).
I want to get these fixed before I fix my startup problem, because these could be the cause.
thanks a lot for any help. i've been searching and I'll continue to search, but either i'm not creative enough in how i search or theres not much info.
