Sure on paper there might be a difference, but when you crack open your car door on a hot day your body doesn't care, it just says HOT either way! lol
I have to say that I also disagree with you man.
I've had a few cars that were tinted and I could tell a difference how they stayed cooler with the tint even in the sun. Granted it still gets hot in there, but could tell a difference between my car and my wifes car that didnt have tint. (No her car didnt have leather)
Anyway, I have the black leather in my car and I have to say that even when its really hot out and in the sun, I havnt had much problem of the seats being unbearable to sit on even in shorts. (My current Audi doesnt have any tint except for what the factory has the windows at)
To me the real thing we should be worried about is keeping the engine and turbo's cool as can be, thats whats more important
This Tech article on audiworld is in my book a must do:
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng.html
Under heading:
Low temp Thermo-Switch for S4 (B5) After-Run System
It replaces the low temp thermo switch so it kicks in at lower temps instead of it waiting to be umbearably hot.
One other thing I might do is take off all the plastic covers that make's the engine pretty. To me I dont care and I figure its something else that holds heat in... Maybe its not a big deal for these to stay on or also maybe taking them off it wont make that big of difference, but I figure it has got to help in some way.
I'd also check to make sure your afterrun pump works. I need to do this on my audi.
